Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Antonio, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hands down a 5-star experience! The food here is absolutely delicious, and the service is incredibly helpful and friendly. It’s a wonderful local mom-and-pop shop that truly goes above and beyond. They have a ton of vegan options and are super knowledgeable about vegan dietary needs. Bonus: the fried rice and chow fun noodles are completely vegan! There are also plenty of amazing dishes for non-vegans, making it the perfect spot for everyone. Highly recommend checking them out!

This restaurant was welcoming, delicious, and the prices were not bad! From speaking with the owners Emelia and Chef Carlos, they are very knowledgeable about veganism and wanted to be sure the vegan community felt welcome and had plenty of options. They were so sweet and personable so please go try them out! πŸ€— Many options clearly listed as Vegan on the menu and the owners said they will work with what you’d like! Stumbled across this place during lunchtime, and boy was I glad I did! The food is definitel some of the best asian food I've had in SA in 5 years. With a menu offering a great selection of items, I decided on the General Tso chicken after seeing it on the table next to mine. The sauce looked darker than most places , so I asked my neighbor if it was savory or sweet? Most places serve it on the sweeter side, but this was definitely how I remembered it from my all time favorite place, Emperor Garden, in Laredo. The hot and sour soup was also legit hot and sour and was filled with mushrooms and bamboo shoots, tofu, all while being super flavorful and not too thick like other places. The best part is everything is made to order! So hot and fresh ..it truly stands out. That said, that's one of the only downsides, the time it takes to cook every order from scratch. The other, and God bless her, is the friendly lady who is waitress/server/cashier/buser and more all in one. It's on the smaller side, and it got a good crowd during lunchtime. So it did take a while to get my order in and get food served. That hiccup aside, I will gladly plan out my next visit with that in mind. Worth

We had a great experience here! We ordered the orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and chicken fried rice, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The orange chicken had the perfect balance of crispy and saucy without being overly sweet. The beef and broccoli was tender with a really good savory sauce, and the broccoli was cooked just right. The chicken fried rice was well seasoned and had plenty of chicken, which we appreciated. The portions were generous and everything came out hot. Customer service was great along with the atmosphere.
